✂ Pattern No. 005 — FAQ

Questions, answered.

Do I need sewing experience to join?
No. The workshop is built to take you from zero to a finished, jump-ready piece of gear. We teach machine handling, pattern reading and construction technique from the ground up.
What will I actually build?
BASE jumping equipment — containers, harnesses, pilot chutes, stash bags or suits. The exact project is confirmed with each group depending on group size and skill level, ranging from smaller components to full builds.
Is accommodation included?
Travel and accommodation are handled separately from the workshop itself. We'll share recommendations and logistics details once your spot is confirmed.
What should I bring?
Comfortable workwear, closed shoes, and your own jumping gear if you'd like to reference fit or compare designs. A full packing list is sent ahead of the session.
Will I get to jump what I build?
Lysebotn is a working exit point, and weather and conditions permitting, that's very much the goal — seeing your own construction perform for the first time.
How many people are in each session?
Groups are kept small on purpose, to guarantee real hands-on time at the machine with direct instruction rather than a lecture-style format.
How much does it cost?
750€ for the full 7-day session, Sunday to Saturday. Materials for your build are billed separately, at cost, depending on your project.
How does booking work?
Fill out the booking form describing your project and the materials you have in mind. Every request is reviewed individually before it's confirmed — you'll hear back by email once it's been approved.
