Make Your Own Gear — Base
A hands-on sewing and fabrication workshop for BASE jumping equipment, held in Lysebotn, Norway. You bring the motivation — we bring the machines, the materials and the guidance.
Container & harness
Pattern, cut and construct your own container and harness — webbing routing, load paths and reinforcement done right, under direct guidance.
Pilot chute
Build a pilot chute from scratch: fabric selection, bridle attachment, and the construction details that matter for a clean deployment.
Stash bag
A practical build to start with — construct a stash bag suited to your gear.
Suit
Pattern and sew your own suit, fitted to your body and your jumping style.
Whatever you can think of
Paraglider, parakite, packraft, or something else entirely — these aren't the only projects on the table. If you've got something else in mind and we think it's feasible in the time we have, we'll build it together.
Covers the full week of instruction, machine and workshop access. Materials for your build are billed separately, at cost, based on what your project needs.
Pattern & materials
Get familiar with the machines, the fabrics (Cordura, Dyneema, ripstop) and the pattern for the piece you're building. We go through fit, load paths and reinforcement points before a single cut is made.
Cut & construct
Cut your panels and start construction: seams, bartacks, webbing attachment points. Direct, one-on-one guidance at the machine as you go.
Reinforce & finish
Reinforcements, load testing points, and finishing details that make the difference between a project and gear you can trust on exit.
Jump it
Lysebotn is a working exit point. If conditions allow, there's no better place to see your own construction perform for the first time.
